I haven't done a blurb in a couple of weeks. I didn't even know how to title this one to be honest! It's been a bunch of high's and low's these past few weeks. So I might as well "blurb" it out for this edition of "Blurbs".

Let's start from the Budds Creek LL Qualifier two weeks ago.....

I gotta admit....the dirt at Budds Creek was pretty motivating.

Budds Creek was a bittersweet weekend. I tried to have fun at what I do but the Moto Xposure 3 video sales didn't go too well as I thought. It just wasn't my weekend I guess. The footage wasn't bad and I actually had more of my fun messing around in the mud on Saturday and sliding down the steep Budds Creek hillsides. I remember going back to the hotel head to toe in pure mud. My DC shoes were DC-less with over five pounds of pure Budds Creek bliss. Sunday turned out a lot better with the sun out and all and with the daylight savings time in full swing, I was an hour off of everything! It was a lot easier to film and have some fun. But the video sales still suffered and my goal of breaking even was non-existant for that weekend.

I missed a lot of this that week of fixing the Budds Creek videos.

Posting the Budds Creek videos was a huge task in and of itself. Talk about pure panic till 4am every day during the week. My first attempt at a better web setup for my videos started amazing after I tested this new streaming server offered by Quicktime (which was through my hosting service). It had jaw dropping streaming capability and the video quality was way up there as well! But once the videos were out there, the traffic started to stack up there and people had problems viewing the videos. Then, I went to a regular streaming MP4 option, which showed the same quality without the amazing streaming server. It was all Quicktime and not a lot of people had it so it had to go. I went back to my regular Flash player layout and everything was back to normal. The Budds Creek videos got over 3,000 views during the week of March 11-15. The videos were advertised at Amateur MX (www.amateurmx.com) and MX Sports (www.mxsports.com).

Check it out now at the iTunes Music Store!

Also, I had my brand new Podcast setup online and available at the iTunes Music Store! Check out the "Moto Xposure Podcast" directly at the link on the top left or search it up at iTunes! It's another great way (now mobile way) of viewing videos from HG Films anytime!

Now onto last weekend.....

Pagoda Motorcycle.....I mean.....Car Crash.......Club.

Last weekend could not have gone any better. After a mediocre Budds Creek experience, I had to step it up and get that movie out there. I was planning on hitting up the second round of the Delmarva Series at Blue Diamond (first race of 2008) but I thought, "Hey, why not sell the video at 2 tracks on the same weekend???" So on Saturday, I visited Pagoda Motorcycle Club just south of Reading, PA to hang out and get the video out there. The people from Pagoda were beyond awesome and their hospitality was just that. They played Moto Xposure 3 in their clubhouse that night and a few copies were sold in the process. They also got a bunch of copies to sell for their first race the next day! I even had one older lady come up to me and ask for an autograph on the MXP3 she just bought. And ending the night with a killer Applebee's visit was just icing on the cake. Things started looking up going into Sunday morning......

Aunt Jemima. What else more can I say?

After getting home around 2-3am Sunday morning to bring my mom to Blue Diamond, we made the two and a half hour cruise to Blue Diamond for their first race. Upon our arrival, I was swarmed with people asking me for a copy of Moto Xposure 3. With a box of 30 something sitting in the car, they were going like hot cakes with a hit of Aunt Jemima's maple syrup (Mrs. Butterworth doesn't even come close!). I was definitely not involved in any sticky situation at Blue Diamond, much thanks to Alan and the crew for Blue Diamond for supporting me for who knows how long, and Kevin Bailey for putting the word out all day long in the tower about my DVD. But a huge thanks goes out to my two friends, Jen and Sam, for their amazing help in selling MXP3! They are both featured in the first scene of the Blue Diamond video I did this week. At day's end, every DVD was sold and things were looking up for once!

Looks like I am covering the Delmarva MX Series for 2008!

This winter was not good for me....or anyone for that matter I'd say. Last weekend was a huge jump in confidence for MXP3 and myself. I had some offers on the table for this year but none were set in stone by the time March rolled around. As of now, I am deciding to go local once again on the amateur motocross scene and see where I end up again. Pretty much starting back to where I was last year. After filming two rounds of the Delmarva Series so far this year, I am planning on releasing a Delmarva Series DVD for the 2008 season at series' end. The Delmarva MX Series has been always awesome to me and the first race I ever filmed was the first ever round of the Delmarva Series back in 2005 at Blue Diamond. So it has always been close to me. I am also a sponsor of the series and I just want to give something back to the amateur scene in the Northeast, especially the local racers who go week in and week out trying their best and most importantly, having fun! I plan on sticking around for most of the rounds but as always, check out my Schedule page on the left to see where I will be next!

This weekend is Easter....actually today is Good Friday! I believe Budds Creek has a race going on and an open practice deal at Southwick, but today, I am going to the closest track to my house, Raceway Park, to film some riding at the practice track. (But we'll see if I get on the track as so far, I have not been able to do that other than ride the track.) I have some friends going down and hopefully there are some people there worth filming and just have some fun! Next weekend (March 30th) looks like it will be Raceway Park for their round of the Northeast Classic series. I usually hit up that race every year so it should be fun as always! Round 3 of the Delmarva Series is at Evansville on the 30th but the trip is on the long side and gas money is getting closer to the price of gold lately. Plus with a busy April coming up, it is going to be pretty sketchy to make big trips.

Speaking of April, it will be pretty crazy. I plan on hitting up an Ultimate Series race at Pagoda on April 6th and Raceway Park the weekend after for their LL area qualifier. But that Monday after Raceway Park, I'll be flying out to the World Mini Grand Prix in Las Vegas, NV to do another daily video update feature like I did there last year. I have a week off work that week so I want to spend it wisely!! Then, after that week, I will be flying back home and before you know it, I'll be on another flight to the west coast the weekend after for the annual Xtremey Awards on April 27th! Moto Xposure 3 was nominated for "Best Amateur Race Video of 2007" for the Xtremeys. It will be exciting to meet the Impact Video crew and many other people in the industry. By the way, if you have not voted for Moto Xposure 3 yet, I insist you head to www.xtremey.net and vote today!! Voting ends on March 31st!!! So make sure you vote today before it's too late!

Finally, my ride is fixed! Check it out at the races!!

Also! I just got my infamous green Ranger fixed! It has been in a "transmission coma" since September 2007 and now it can move forward!! Check it out at the races! (It's not really that amazing but it is my truck after all :)...)

That'll do it for this blurb. See you at the races and find those colored eggs!!!
