Hey there and welcome to another edition of Blurbs! I will be writing up a blurb each Friday and keep you all updated on what is going on at HG Films! SO let’s get started!

Tomahawk LL Qualifier

Last weekend marked the third Loretta Lynn Northeast area qualifier of the year at the Tomahawk MX Park. I’m not sure if the riders knew it was an area qualifier due to the nation’s top amateur motocross racers that showed up to get their name on the list for the Northeast regional. With names like Justin Barcia, PJ Larsen, and Malcolm Stewart showing up to the gate, this wasn’t your usual area qualifier! Torco Racing Fuels/Amsoil/Honda rider Justin Barcia made it all look too easy all weekend. His huge wins in the Schoolboy (12-16) and MX Lites B Stock and Modified classes just showed that Justin is just on it this year. It is amazing how far he has come from when he started to where he is now. He is on a totally different level now and he and his family are very happy on how things are going now.

PJ Larsen nac-nac's his way another A class win at Tomahawk. (Christina Stickel Photo)

Xtreme Team Green/MotoSport Outlet rider PJ Larsen is looking like the next Trey Canard to come of the A classes on the amateur motocross scene for this year. His speed was unmatched all weekend sweeping every A class moto possible on the weekend. After some strong showings at Lake Whitney and Oakhill, PJ seems to be the one rider to beat in already amazingly stacked A class that includes Lowell Spangler, Blake Wharton, Ben Lamay, Darryn Durham, Jay Weller, etc. etc., etc…… Team Green’s Malcolm Stewart looked very fast all weekend and had to follow the shadow of the Honda ride of Barcia in the MX Lites B classes. His speed has improved and his win in the Motocross B Stock class just showed that his skills on a KX250 2 stroke are much closer to his brother’s.

There were many other top riders making a strong showing at Tomahawk. Daniel Corbin on his 167 Yamaha 2 stroke put up some outstanding results in the A classes, which included a 3rd in MX Lites A and a 2nd in Motocross A.

Alexander Frye (28) leads another moto at Tomahawk. (Christina Stickel Photo)

KTM back Alexander Frye, a 2007 Loretta Lynn champion, was super consistent all weekend with three overall wins in the 65 (10-11) Stock and 85 (9-11) Stock and Modified classes. He also had a second place finish in the 65 (7-11) Modified behind West Virginia’s own Stephen Gretchen.

Garret Toth goes horizontal at Tomahawk. (Christina Stickel Photo)

The Toth brothers were in full force this weekend as Garret took an overall win in the Schoolboy (14-16) class and three second place finishes in the MX Lites Stock and Modified and Schoolboy (12-16). Willy Toth had some tough competition in the A classes but mustered out a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th overall finishes throughout the weekend to get him a spot at the gate at the amateur regional.

Jace Owen (401) and Kameron Page (14) were one of the best battles throughout the th weekend at Tomahawk. (Christina Stickel Photo)

Honda rider Jace Owen and Yamaha rider Kameron Page had some of the best battles all weekend in the 85 (12-13) classes. Jace ended up taking the overall wins in both 85 (12-13) Stock and Modified classes and Kameron finished up second in both of those classes. Both young riders took on the Supermini (12-15) class and Jace finished 3rd while Kameron finished 5th. Daniel Corbin's brother Joshua took top honors in that Supermini class along with New York's Ryan Zaveral. who took second.

Randall Everett looked very good on his new Yamaha 250 2 stroke ride as he had a 3rd in the MX Lites A/Pro Sport class and a 4th in Motocross A/Pro Sport.

Also, my brother Tyler did have a nasty crash in his first moto of the weekend in the first MX Lites B Stock moto. He looked really good off the start with a picture perfect holeshot. As soon as he landed on a tabletop, he swapped shortly after trying to make a move for 2nd. He ended up getting knocked out pretty good and took the rest of the weekend off. After an ER visit back home, Tyler has an AC separation and will be off the bike for a week or 2. He should be back ready for the Raceway Park LL Qualifier next weekend.

There now 2 videos I did that are posted here at MotoXposure.com from Tomahawk! Check out the race highlights video and the Justin Barcia video as well that was just posted late last night! These videos are doing outstanding on the web, much thanks to Racer X, MX Sports, Vurb-Moto, Amateur MX, and Eastern Dirt.

Another bike stolen…..

Delaware racer Clinton Foster recently had his Yamaha YZ125 robbed early this week and he is pretty bummed about the whole situation. If you are in the Middletown, DE area and see a stray Yamaha YZ125 (his number is #189), you can shoot me an email at wozwickhg@yahoo.com and I’ll lead you to Clinton right away so he can get his ride back!

HG Films presents “Promo Week” at Blue Diamond Park!!!

Are you in need of a short video of you or your son/daughter that you need for your sponsors or just for yourself? Well, during the week of April 14-18, I will be setting up my first ever “Promo Week”. I will be available at Blue Diamond during that whole week and we can set up your own shoot for your own promo video! Your video can be put on a DVD and/or on the web for your sponsors to see or for people to see on your MySpace! I don’t usually do promo videos on race days and I’d rather do them on practice days where I can work with the rider all day long and get the best possible footage for your promo video! Email me at wozwickhg@yahoo.com for more information!

This Weekend: Pagoda!

As I am doing videos throughout the week, I am also, somehow, getting ready for Pagoda this weekend for the first round of the District 6’s Ultimate Series. It should be an amazing weekend and another short video from HG Films will be up a couple of days after the race as always! I will also have copies of Moto Xposure 3 on hand all weekend for $20!

That will do it for this edition of Blurbs. Hope to see many of you at Pagoda this weekend!
