Budds Creek MX Park
Loretta Lynn Northeast Youth Regional Qualifier
Saturday Photo Report - June 6th, 2009
Photos and Report by Matt Wozney/MXPTV

Saturday at Budds Creek started cloudy and the 3 days of straight rain left a wet track for Friday's practice.
The track started off wet and moist on Saturday but the track worked in very well to produce great conditions!

The first photo I shot today!
Check out Kyle Peters (110) over jump this mound while battling Kyle Bitterman
for the lead in the first moto of the day, Schoolboy 1 - Division 1.

Kyle Peters didn't just have Bitterman to deal with that moto.
The hard charging Eric Goodson made an agressive move up to the front.
Goodson finished 2nd and Peters was 3rd. Bitterman took the win.

Suzuki rider Max Stevey dumps it in the corner before the finish during the Schoolboy 1 - Division 1 moto.

Ryan Zaveral took 4th in the Schoolboy 1 - Division 1 moto.

Lucas Lowe took the win the Schoolboy 1 - Division 2 moto with a very impressive start and lead.

Chris Duymich (512) and Brian Wasson (332) battle over the tabletop during their Schoolboy 1 moto.

Kameron Page finished 6th in his Schoolboy 1 division early in the day.
Kameron was recently invited to race at a big amateur "des nations" event in Belgium next month.
MXPTV wishes him the best of luck in Belgium!

The 50cc 7-8 class saw nothing but battles all moto long at Budds Creek.

Jonathan Beasley manhandles this quad stuck in the mud early in the day with help from the EMTs.
Jonathan Beasley is the Chuck Norris of track owners.

Even though he's not racing, Brian Carroll supports his son Bryton each weekend at the races.
Bryton sure has his father's MX gene as he currently is in a qualifying spot for Loretta Lynn's after Saturday.

Ryan Clites may be the best looking rider out there on the track.
A win in the 1st moto of the 85cc (12-13) Stock class sure put his road to LL another step closer.

Kacey Curtis took home track advantage and took the win in the Girls (11-15) 1st moto at Budds Creek.

"Should I throw this at the guy taking pictures of me?"

Dawson Driscoll has already made it to the big dance at Loretta's
but he kept his fellow Northeast racers in check all day.
He took the moto win in his division of the 51cc (7-8) class.

The big flat screen at sign up showing live lap times added lots of value to this weekend's regional qualifier.

Super Mini rider Frederic Marsali checks over his lap time print out at sign up.

Alexander Frye is flying as usual at Budds Creek in the 85cc (9-11) classes.
Yes, he has home track advantage but he also has the biggest fan club
as his entire family came to watch him race. Some of his family members
have never seen him race and had his relatives on the edge of their seats all day!

Brandon Garlock finds his way through the multiple lines at Budds Creek during his 85cc (9-11) Stock moto.
He finished 10th in the first moto.

Cycle Effex's Garret Hoffman put on a dominating performance in the 51cc Stock Shaft Drive class.

Suzuki/Thor rider Stephen Gretchen and Yamaha rider Donny Brown battle
in the 85cc (9-11) Stock Division 2 moto.

Jared Jennings (218) and Jacob Williamson battle in their 85cc (9-11) Stock moto.
Williamson would take the moto win.

New Jersey native Brandon Hartranft took a solid 3rd place in his first 85cc (9-11) Stock moto.

Jacob Runkles rode his AMS Suzuki to a 2nd in the 85cc (12-13) - Division 2 moto.

After the first class went off, many, many, many lines were developing across the Budds Creek track.

Doug Douchette of Team Green Kawasaki was hard at work helping not just Kawasaki riders
but other riders with their bike setups and parts.
Doug has been a big part of Team Green by offering his professional services for all amateur racers.

Kevin Bailey was running his mouth as usual at Budds Creek all day long!
Check him out in MXPTV's Budds Creek LL Regional video this week
as he had a close call with a Beasley-ran dozer on video!

While riders were qualifying for Loretta's, NMA had sign ups available at the track for Ponca City,
which happens the week before Loretta's.

Also, at the Ponca City sign up booth, the new Eject Helmet Removal System was available for sale at the track.
Safety is being very well promoted lately at the amateur races, which is a great thing to see these days.

One pee wee dad takes advantage of capturing video of his son at the starting gate at Budds Creek.

Coty Schock, qualifying in his first LL regional, finished 5th in his division of the 85cc (9-11) Stock class.

Coty Schock's dad cheers his son on the last lap of his first moto at Budds.

Michigan native Jacob Williamson is a rider on top of the leader board all day at Budds Creek.
Jacob took the win his division of the 85cc (9-11) Stock class.

Nick Desiderio throws up a wheelie after a short hot lap before his Schoolboy 2 - Division 1 moto.

Schoolboy 2 - Division 1 start with Kyle Bitterman (381) and Nick Desiderio (57) leading the way.

Nick Desiderio had a lead going during the Schoolboy 2 - Division 1 moto......

....Until Honda rider Ryan Zimmer took over the lead near the end of the moto.

Ryan Zimmer looked very solid in the Schoolboy 2 - Division 1 moto and took the moto win.

Pennsylvania rider Will Bleich is always a dark horse in the Schoolboy/B classes locally.
His top 5 finish in Schoolboy 2 shows that he has the potential for Loretta Lynn's.

Brian Wasson rode to a very strong top 7 finish in the Schoolboy 2 - Division 1 moto
holding off lots of pressure and making some aggressive moves during the moto.

Eric Goodson had a rough start the first Schoolboy 2 division and had to work through the pack at Budds.

The vendors are in full force this weekend at Budds Creek!

Tony Archer (25) and Michael Anderson (531) lead the start of the Schoolboy 2 - Divison 2 moto.

Tony Archer simply annihilated the Schoolboy 2 - Division 2 moto today at Budds Creek.

Michael Anderson had a moto he would forget in Schoolboy 1
but came back in Schoolboy 2 with a solid 4th place finish.

Tony Archer had a RC/Stewart-like lap time today against his competition at Budds.
Tony ran a 1:41 lap time earlier in the day, the fastest at Budds today.

That will do it for this report. I will be filming all day Sunday so no photos from Sunday from me.
Hope you enjoyed the update and check out for the LL Regional video this week at MXPTV!
