Saturday night under the lights of the legendary BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma for Round 5 of the 2010 AMA Arenacross Series. Team Babbitt’s Monster Energy TiLUBE Kawasaki laid down another history making finish! Podium dominance is what Team Babbitt’s brought to the fans and Tyler Bowers didn’t waste a moment in regaining his podium spot!
Starting out the evening in heat one Chad Johnson worked hard to move himself into the main event, starting off the gate in a 9th place position and fighting through the pack to a 5th place finish locked him into the main event! In heat two when the gates dropped Josh Demuth and Tyler Bowers quickly moved to the front of the pack in typical Team Babbitt’s style with Bowers locking the 1st place position and Demuth right behind him in 2nd.
Another Saturday night race format allowed one chance for the Babbitt’s Monster Energy TiLUBE Kawasaki team to shine and when the pressure is on, this team performs! With a parade lap behind them, Josh Demuth and Tyler Bowers lined up on the front gate with teammate Chad Johnson on the second gate. Gates drop and Bowers moved into the 3rd place position, focused and driven, Bowers locked in the 1st place position by lap 5 and never looked back! Demuth 5th off the gate battled through the tight pack of racers, working hard, Demuth moves into the 2nd place position on lap 12, the Sheriff didn’t waste any time revisiting the podium with a 2nd place finish! Chad Johnson sprung off the gate in 8th place driving him to lay down an all out assault, with some aggressive racing, Johnson landing himself on the podium with a 3rd place finish giving Team Babbitt’s Monster Energy TiLUBE Kawasaki another night of victory and a second podium sweep of the season!
In conversation, team owner Eddie Babbitt spoke of the dynamics and what the overall response to the team’s current success is! Eddie expressed “I would believe that we have a combination of great leadership and rider talent, and the fact is that every single person on this team wants to win badly. The excitement and moral at the Babbitt’s Superstore dealership is unreal and I would say it is the same way at the track every weekend as well! We are just firing on all cylinders this year! We have felt this before so we know the feeling and love to feel this way, it’s very hard to explain!
